Meghan had her 1 year check-up last week.
Here are her stats:
Weight: 20lbs, 8oz (50%)
Height: 30 3/4 inches (90%)
Head: 17% (she has always had a small head)
Meghan has 2 molars coming in and has been teething something fierce. Anything she comes in contact with is chewed. Book spines are no match for her teeth...
Jase has had some breathing issues probably due to seasonal allergies (it happened last year too), so he now has breathing treatments 4x/day, since he doesn't do well with an inhaler. All the kids at school think it is very interesting and they all want to take turns (this really helps Jase with taking his medicine, as he isn't missing out on playing...) He seems to be doing better now...
Joe has been really busy with school and helping out with the house and kids as he can.
I've been really busy with work, church callings, and reading. I finally caved and read The Twilight Saga (everything - all 4 books and the online draft). It was an enjoyable read, although I liked book 1 & 3 better than 2 & 4. Actually book 4 took me the longest to read - I just didn't really get into it. Parts were good, but some parts were just difficult to read. Anyways, that is why I haven't been blogging. No pictures for now, as I haven't taken them off the camera...

Thanks!
Over the last few weeks I've gotten lots of compliments on how much I'm able to get done, what with working at Purdue full-time, having the kids in daycare, Joe in school, and having 2 demanding church callings.
I've really needed to hear that I'm doing well, because I feel like I'm struggling to keep things afloat in pretty much all areas of life (you see I like to do everything, so it's hard when I can't). So thanks for giving me an outside perspective and letting me know that I'm doing ok...

Life
We've been so busy the past week, that I seriously don't know where the time has went. And we have very few pictures too...
Day care started last week. Both Meghan and Jase love their school. More on this in an upcoming post...
Joseph is finalizing some details and house projects before classes start at Purdue in one week.
I've been busy at work, with several projects and software and equipment development. Being at an University the fall brings change with new people arriving and some people leaving. There are several people that I have come to know over the past 2 years that are moving on in their careers. I have now made quite the network of people and have even received some employment offers.
We have worked on perfecting our morning routine...so far so good...

I love my kids!
I finally took the time to get these photos off the camera and it helped me remember (after a really long week) just how much I love my kids. Enjoy!

Meghan's first cookie - she sure liked it!

Jase wearing a potholder turned hat.

Meghan having a good snooze in daddy's arms.

I love Jase's hair, especially when it is wet and roughed up.

Jase thought he'd share his sucker with his sister and she seemed to like it...

Jase and his cousin playing during a visit with family.

Jase loving his ice cream cone...his skin was tinted blue even after "scrubbing" it clean.

I haven't fallen off the face of the earth...
at least not just yet. I have been swamped at work, exhausted at home (moving rooms around and reorganizing can do that to a person), and tired in the morning thanks to a teething monster that I call my daughter. Oh, she also wants to sleep all night in mommy and daddy's bed; so she wakes up every 2 hours when she is in her crib - uugghh.
We are also getting ready for Jase's party in a couple weeks and working outside in the beautiful weather.
So, is that enough excuses for why I haven't been blogging? I know I have some cute pics that I will post after this weekend (we have busy plans for the whole weekend and sorry, but blogging isn't one of them...).
Also, stay tuned as my 1 year blogging anniversary is coming up on May 10th, and I plan on having something fun for my readers...
